Evercannabis, a publication of The Spokesman-Review/Cowles Company, is accepting designs for the 2019 EVERCANNAFEST artwork which will be used in the official T-shirt and other promotional material.
The selected design may feature up to six colors, with white being one color. The artist can recommend a T-shirt color, although final decision rests with the Evercannafest event staff.
The design must include the phrase: “EVERCANNAFEST 2019” (all caps required.)
Artists should keep in mind that the design must be able to transfer well in the screen-printing process.
Artists must follow applicable promotional rules from Washington’s Liquor and Cannabis Board, including not using copyrighted logos or material, and avoiding any imagery that can appeal to children.
Designs should be no larger than 13 inches high and 11 inches wide.
Artwork will become the property of Evercannabis and cannot be returned.
The winning design may be used by Evercannabis – The Spokesman-Review for marketing and other purposes deemed appropriate by The S-R Marketing Division.
A committee of Spokesman-Review employees with training in visual design and branding will select the single winner before May 1, 2019. Their decision will be based on current artistic standards and how closely the artist followed the stated rules.
The winner will be notified by May 1, 2019 by phone or email. They will be required to keep their name, the t-shirt color or design confidential until the shirt/design is officially revealed June 14, 2019. 
The Spokesman-Review also may display a selection of submissions at EVERCANNAFEST or in an issue of Evercannabis. No compensation will be provided to these artists.
Artists hereby irrevocably authorize The Spokesman-Review to edit or alter their submission. They also agree to work with The Spokesman-Review Evercannabis Art Director and the screen printer chosen to ensure the design is in a final form acceptable to Evercannabis and ready for high quality screen-printing.
Artist also agrees to provide artwork that can be used to produce other promotional items for the Evercannafest event and any other marketing purposes deemed appropriate by The S-R Marketing Division.
Only one entry per person accepted.
All participating artists must be age 21 or over.
Current employees of The Spokesman-Review/Cowles Company are prohibited from entering.
The chosen artist waives the right to inspect or approve the finished product, waives any rights, royalties or other compensation beyond the $250 award, related to the use of their artistic product. They also release The Spokesman-Review and their agents and/or assignees from any and all claims from damages of any kind based on the use of said artistic work.
No purchase or subscription is necessary.
